State runner-up Daniel Boone swept the top four 2012 All-Big Softball Awards and took three more spots on the first team as announced by the league on Monday.

Sharing co-Player of the Year honors were Natalie Sheffey and Andrea Rogers. Sheffy was the Eastman Invitational and District 1-AAA Tournament Most Valuable Player and compiled the fourth highest single-season RBI total [90] and seventh-high single season home run total [19] in national high school softball history. Sheffey is considering Division 1 interest for her collegiate future.

Rogers wasn’t far behind with 10 home runs and 74 RBI’s include a pair of homers and seven runs driven in a regional semi-final win over Jefferson County. Rogers will play at Walters State next season.

Taking Pitcher of the Year honors was Kellie Waycaster who set a Daniel Boone school record with 37 wins on the season against only four losses. The UVA-Wise signee also slugged four homers and plated 27 runs.
