Brave the movie inspires Scottish tour itineraries

By Scottish Viewpoint

Brave, opening Friday, may be the product of Disney-Pixar animation magic, but Scottish tourism officials are hoping the film generates interest in the real-life terrain of the Scottish Highlands where it’s set.

VisitScotland has devised Brave-themed packages plus on-your-own downloadable driving itineraries that draw from the story about epic battles, mystical legends, and, of course, bravery.

Among the package tours is the Scottish Castle Experience from small-group tour operator Rabbie’s Trail Burners. The four-day tour, starting at $825 per person, double ($650 ages 5-16), includes “castle-style” accommodations with breakfast, special tours and entry fees and a castle banquet.
